AMOA is proud to partner with the Dufrocq school for our youth enrichment STEM Starters series program. We are grateful to Mrs. Shobha Menon and the Dufrocq school staff for welcoming AMOA into their amazing students’ lives.

Through our collaborative efforts, we hope to inspire the participants to learn more about robotics, technology, engineering, physics, chemistry, and math! Also, AMOA is very grateful to Exxon Mobil for their generosity and investment in the future leaders of tomorrow, today!

In today’s technological society, it is vital for young learners to gain an interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

The America, My Oyster Association’s “An Investment in STEM is An Investment in Me!” invites students ages 6-12 to rethink their perceptions of STEM. AMOA welcomes participants to delve into the fun “at home” activities featured in the STEM Starters educational book series under the guidance of our selected STEM mentors.

Through developing a solid and sustainable foundation within the sciences, students are invited to receive a free STEM Starters series book courtesy of AMOA and Exxon Mobil. Along with the book, they are welcome to a free tour of the Louisiana Art & Science Museum (LASM) and are placed in a STEM Starter series book club guided by a STEM mentor.
